Five Balls in the Air
Image life as a game in which you are throwing some five balls in the air. You name them work, family, health, friends and spirit,and you're keeping all these balls in the air.
You understand that work is a rubber ball. If you drop it, it will bounce back. But the other four balls are made of glass. If you drop one of these, it will be certainly scuffed, marked,nicked, damaged or even smashed. They will never be the same. You must understand that and struggle for balance in
your life. How?
Don't lower your worth by comparing yourself to others. It is because we are different that each of us is special. Don't set your goals by what other people deem important. Only you know what is best for you. Don't take for granted the things closest to your heart. Cling to them as you would to life, for without them, it's meaningless. Don't let life slip through your fingers by living in the past or in the future. By living your life one day at a time, you live all the days of your life. Don't run through life so fast that you forget not only where you've been,but also where you' re going. Don't use time or words carelessly. Neither can be retrieved. Life is not a race, but a journey to be savored each step of the way. Yesterday is history,tomorrow is a mystery, and today is a gift. That's why we call
it--The Present.

把生命想象成你向空中拋五只球的游戲。你把五只球命名為：工作、家庭、健康、朋友和精神，把所有這些球拋在空中。
你知道工作是個橡皮球。如果你把它往下拋，它會反彈。但其他四只球是用玻璃做的，如果你把其中任何一個往下扔，它必然受到磨損，出現碰撞的痕跡、有了裂口，被損壞甚至被摔得粉碎。他們永遠不能恢復到最初狀態。你必須理解這一點，在生命中盡力把五個方面擺平，但如何做呢?
不要與他人比較從而降低你的價值。這是因為我們每個人都是不同的，都有特別處。不要把別人認為是重要的事作為你的目標。只有你自己知道什么最適合你。不要將最親近你的事當作理所當然的。你要像擁抱生命一樣擁抱它們，因為沒有它們，生命就沒有意義。不要只生活在過去或未來從而讓生命從你手指間溜走。認真過好每一天，你就認真度過了生命中的所有日子。不要活得太過匆忙，不然你不僅忘了你身在何處，而且不知你將去何方。不要隨意運用時間和言語。這兩項永不可恢復。生命不是比賽，而是每一步都需要品味的旅程。昨天已成歷史，明天還未可知，今天才
