托福口語高頻題應對策略

　　在托福口語考試中，經常會考到人物品質類的話題，比如考生在考試的過程中，經常會被問到作為一個好鄰居，好老師，好朋友，好父母，好領導或者好同事應該具備的品質。然后，我們就從以下幾個方面入手來分析。

　　一.情態動詞

　　首先，我們來看看will/would，may/might, should, can/could的不同之處。

　　1.首先，我們來看一下will和would

　　(1)它們used to show that you are willing or already to do sth用語表示愿意準備做某事，would的語氣更加委婉一些。

　　I will come up and help you clean the room in a minute.我馬上就來幫你打掃房間。

　　(2)請求某人做某事，would的語氣更加委婉。

　　Excuse me. Will you/Would you please help open the door for me?麻煩您幫我開一下們可以嗎?

　　2.may/might

　　(1) If sth may happen or may be true ,there is a possibility that it will happen or be true, but it is not certain.表示可能，也許，may的可能性大于might、

　　例句：I may be late, so start without me.我可能會遲到，不要等我。

　　(2)表示很客氣的去請求某事，might比may更加委婉。

　　I‘d like to open the window ,if I may.如果可以的話，我想去打開那扇窗戶。

　　3.should。它表示應該，應當，表示這樣做時最好，最公正，其中ought to和be supposed to 是它的同義詞

　　4.can/could懂得，會。could可以作為can的過去式

　　(1)表示可能性，can表示的可能性大于could

　　例句：I am sure I can work it out.我確定我可以解決這個問題

　　(2)have permission to do sth. Or to be allowed to do sth允許，could的語氣更加委婉。

　　例句：You can not go home until you finish your homework.不完成作業不允許你回家。

　　二.具體應用

　　然后我們來一下情態動詞該怎樣應用在答題中。

　　1.父母

　　構思：我們可以從patient耐心，considerate有愛心，exemplary樹立榜樣，supportive，支持，trustworthy值得信賴的

　　(1)patient-耐心

　　A good parent should be a listener to the children好的父/母應該是孩子的傾聽者

　　A good parent can accept the children’s annoying behaviors. 好的父/母應該接受孩子惱人的行為。

　　(2)considerate-有愛心

　　A good parent should always think of what the children really need. 好的父/母應該考慮孩子的真正所需

　　A good parent is not supposed to overindulge their children. 好的父/母不應該溺愛它們的孩子。

　　(3)supportive-支持

　　A good parent should give children support when they try to do something challenging. 好的父/母應該在孩子做具有挑戰性的事情的時候給予支持。

　　A good parent should also support children when they are in difficulties.好的父/母應該在孩子遇到困難的時候仍然給予支持。

　　(4)Exemplary-樹立榜樣

　　A good parent ought to set good examples for children in every respect.好的父/母應該從方方面面給孩子樹立榜樣。

　　A good parent should keep an eye on his or her own misbehaviors.好的父/母應該特別關注自己的不當行為。

　　(5)trustworthy-值得信賴

　　A good parent is like a close friend with whom children can share anything.好的父/母就像朋友一樣，孩子可與之分享一下。

　　A good parent is supposed to always keep his or her promise. 好的父/母應該重視自己的諾言。

　　2.好朋友

　　In your opinion, what are some important qualities of a good friend?在答題的時候，可以從humorous幽默，helpful熱心，honest和loyal忠誠，sensitive善解人意

　　(1)humorous-幽默

　　I like my friend to be humorous.和A humorous friend can cheer me up when I feel down by his funny actions.可以轉化為

　　A humorous friend is a person who can cheer me up when I feel down by his funny actions.

　　(2)helpful-熱心

　　I like my friend to be helpful.和A helpful friend will give me a hand when I need help.可以轉化為A helpful friend is a person who will give me a hand when I need help.

　　(3)loyal-忠誠

　　I like my friend to be loyal.和A loyal fiend will always be faithful to me under any circumstances.可以轉化為A loyal fiend is a person who will never betray me under any circumstances.

　　(4)Honest-誠實

　　I like my friend to be honest. 和An honest friend will never cheat on me.可以轉化為An honest friend is a person who will never cheat on me .

　　(5)sensitive-善解人意的

　　I like my friend to be sensitive.和A sensitive friend can understand my feelings and problems.因此可以轉化為A sensitive friend is a person who can understand my feelings and problems.
