【辨析】 ①each 和every 一般都作限定詞，用于單數可數名詞之前；each 用以指一個群體（至少兩個）中個別的個體：Each student learns at his or her own pace. 每個學生按自己的進度學習。every 指一個群體（至少三個）中側重于全體的所有個體，而不在個別的個體，這個詞可以受某些副詞修飾：Every/Nearly every student in the sc
hool passed the swimming test. 這所學校的每一個/幾乎每一個學生游泳都及格了。
②each (one)of 和every one of 用于復數名詞或代詞之前，但應注意的是，動詞仍用單數：Each of the houses is slightly different. 每所房子都稍有區別。She gave each (one) of her grandchildren 50p. 她給每個孫兒50便士。I bought a dozen eggs and every on
e of them was bad. 我買了一打雞蛋，每個都是壞的。?
重點提示 each 本身可作代詞：I asked all the children and each told a different story. 我問過所有的孩子，每個人的說法都不一樣。它還可以用于復數的主語之后或復數動詞的間接賓語之后：We each have a different point of view. 我們每個人都有不同的觀點。
